Austrian singer-songwriter OSKA is skyrocketing to fame in the international music scene, and her heartfelt lyrics and captivating melodies are making waves worldwide.

Her journey from a quaint village in Lower Austria to the global stage is as enchanting as her music.

From a Small Austrian Village to Vienna's Music Scene

Born Maria Burger, OSKA grew up in a tiny Austrian village before moving to Vienna at 18 to chase her musical dreams.

This bold move marked a pivotal turning point, transforming her from a music enthusiast to a professional artist.

She began by busking on the bustling streets and vibrant squares of Vienna, all while studying pop and jazz singing.

How OSKA Built an International Following

Her debut album, My world, My love, Paris, unveiled her gift for authentic storytelling and poignant reflections on family life and the trials of growing up.

The album is a testament to her lyrical brilliance and irresistible charm, winning her a dedicated fanbase.

Like many of today's most exciting independent musicians, her appeal comes from crafting a distinct artistic identity rather than following trends.

OSKA’s music resonates with emotional depth and authenticity. Her lyrics often explore personal experiences and universal themes, allowing listeners to connect with her on a profound level.

"Each accolade and opportunity has brought her closer to her dreams and expanded her reach to a global audience, proving the universal appeal of her music..."

Her unique ability to transform her emotions into music results in songs that are both relatable and inspiring.

This ability to create deeply personal songs that resonate universally is often what separates promising musicians from truly enduring independent artists.

Since signing with Nettwerk in 2020, OSKA’s rise has been meteoric.

Her music has amassed millions of streams, and she has received numerous accolades, including the XA Music Export Award at Waves Vienna Festival 2020, the Amadeus Austrian Music Award for “Best Sound” in 2022, and the prestigious “Music Moves Europe Award” at ESNS 2023.

Why "Forever Blue" Showcases OSKA's Songwriting Talent

With three new singles released over the summer, she is rapidly adding to her repertoire.

A personal favourite of ours was “Forever Blue,” which made a splash with its warm, jangly guitars, celestial harmonies, and upbeat percussion.

"With each new release and show, she continues to solidify her place as a rising star and one to watch closely..."

The song was inspired by a carefree car ride with a childhood friend, capturing the joy and simplicity of those moments.

“It felt like being children again; playing, goofing around, snoozing off in the car; not a worry in the world,” OSKA reminisces.

Few emerging singer-songwriters manage to balance vulnerability and ambition so effectively during the early stages of their careers.
