The B 1.618 Grande Date Sapphire Edition embodies Bianchet's commitment to innovation and exquisite craftsmanship. In an unprecedented achievement, the watch seamlessly integrates sapphire crystal and rubber—a first in horology. Known for its extraordinary hardness, sapphire presents formidable challenges in machining and finishing. However, Bianchet's design team has ingeniously incorporated rubber seams into the case, preserving the brand's distinctive aesthetic with two rubber gaskets that enhance the purity of the design. This groundbreaking fusion of materials showcases Bianchet's mastery of combining precious elements with advanced technology.

The transparent case of the Grande Date Sapphire Edition offers a breathtaking view of Bianchet's in-house caliber, making the intricate movement the star of the show. The soft curves of the tonneau case have been meticulously refined to maximize transparency, while the fluidity of the movement components—arranged according to the Fibonacci spiral and the golden ratio of 1.618—creates a visual symphony. Whether in natural sunlight or indoor lighting, the case captures and reflects light, illuminating the satin-brushed and sandblasted surfaces of the movement. The interplay of shadows and reflections on the hand-polished bevels is as captivating as it is elegant.

At the heart of this timepiece lies the Flying Tourbillon openwork movement, crafted entirely from titanium. The design gives the illusion that the tourbillon is floating within the case, achieved through a ball-bearing mechanism that supports the tourbillon cage from the back. The tourbillon, a symbol of watchmaking excellence, defies gravity with precision and sophistication, embodying the very essence of haute horlogerie.

Continuing its tradition of innovative material combinations, Bianchet once again pushes the boundaries of watchmaking. From exclusive carbon composites infused with titanium dust to the bold fusion of solid gold and carbon fiber in its Hybrid Gold watches, Bianchet consistently redefines luxury. The Grande Date Sapphire Edition exemplifies this legacy, blending cutting-edge materials with the timeless artistry of Swiss watchmaking.

Complementing the overall aesthetic is a white vulcanized rubber strap, paired with a titanium folding clasp, thoughtfully designed to enhance the watch's visual appeal. The transparency theme extends to the back of the watch, revealing the harmonious interplay of the movement's components, meticulously crafted following the Golden Circles. The result is a timepiece that offers a seamless tactile experience, where the boundaries between materials blur in perfect harmony.

Limited to just 21 pieces, the B 1.618 Grande Date Sapphire Edition is a true collector's item. Each watch is meticulously hand-finished and assembled at Bianchet's atelier in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, underscoring the brand's dedication to exceptional quality and precision.
