If Zante conjures images of boisterous lads holidays, and a cheap, post A-Level haven for binge drinking and partying the night away, you would be forgiven for the assumption. Zante, much like its other Mediterranean cousins Aya Napa, Magaluf, and Kavos, has become a staple of the European summer party scene, and it is a reputation that is hard to shake. This is unfortunate, because often, the surrounding areas of these debauched party hubs are full of charming villages, spectacular beaches and quaint fishing communities. Look hard enough and you will find a true oasis, a slice of paradise personified within the rustic landscapes of the Mediterranean islands.

That place in question in Zante is Olea All Suite Hotel, an architecturally stunning sanctuary, crowning the top of a hill, offering a panoramic vista of the island and the cobalt waters of the lonian Sea. Dispersed amongst the olive trees and well-kept gardens are a variety of different places to eat, which includes their fine dining restaurant Flow which looks out across the island and catches the spectacular sunset rays that pierce each evening’s vista. With an emphasis on fusing both traditional and modern Greek cuisine, Flow embraces Zante’s culinary heritage, and allows you to enjoy it in the most elegant of surroundings. Alternatively, you can indulge in one of the two other restaurants, alongside their myriad of understated, yet stylish bars, which of course serve cocktails crafted by their expert mixologists.

Each room is a spacious suite, with many offering private pools, or swim up options, and they are intricately decorated with a mixture of grey industrial walls, contrasted with the palettes of browns, whites and cremes, found in the wood finishes and textiles. With large sliding windows stretching the width of the room, the osmosis between outside and inside is tangible, and helps to ensure that each room is open, airy and most importantly peaceful.

Olea is a place one can unwind in, whilst marvelling at the artistic and architectural creativity that runs through the entire haven.
