Introducing the anniversary edition of The Lifestyle Compendium Vol. 5 with Cover Star Lewis Kemmenoe.

For Kemmenoe, making has always been instinctive. Originally trained in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins and the Royal Academy of Arts, his move into furniture brought together a longstanding fascination with materials, craftsmanship and the physical process of creating.

Working predominantly with timber, Kemmenoe has developed a distinctive language of patchworking and inlay, allowing the individual character of materials to influence each piece. Sitting somewhere between furniture, sculpture and craft, his work is shaped as much by the process of making as the finished object itself.

Across the 12-page feature, we explore Kemmenoe’s journey from fine art into furniture, his relationship with material and process and the increasingly blurred boundaries between art and functional design.

Celebrating both the fifth volume of The Lifestyle Compendium and our tenth print edition, this special anniversary issue brings together a curated collection of voices defining contemporary culture across fashion, design, food, travel, music and beyond.

A collector's volume rooted in quality, intention and the enduring beauty of print, The Lifestyle Compendium Vol. 5 is created for the culturally curious.
